The Lawn Bowls Competition consists of separate boys, girls, and mixed competitions. Capped at 32 Boys pairs, 24 Girl pairs, and 24 Mixed pairs, the Girls and Mixed teams will play up to eight games and the Boy’s teams will play up to nine games, depending on entry numbers. The tournament will be played on the Lincoln Artificial Green and prior to the games, students are encouraged to come to the Have a Go Day/Training Session.
The Have a Go Day/Training Session will be on Tuesday 17 September 2024, from 10:00am – 2:00pm.

The Koru Games Lawn Bowls competitions will be played under normal lawn bowls rules, unless listed below;
All games will be played in the spirit of ‘Fair Play’. To mark this all players will shake hands before and after each game.
Additional Information;
The Lawn Bowls tournament has separate boys, girls and mixed competitions. They will play round robin games in pools, the results of which will give seeding for a knockout round resulting in overall placings.

Bowls Canterbury and the Lincoln Bowling Club will make coaches available throughout the tournament. There will be coaching/practice sessions prior to the games. Please see Tournament Information for more details. On day 1 of the Koru Games, before the competition starts, there will also be a brief coaching session. Please read the Koru Games Bowls specific rules prior to competition. There are many bowls opportunities that the students can continue in, please contact Erica for more information.
All teams/schools need to have first aid support onsite.
Habit Health will be at the Lincoln Hub to support competitors throughout the Games.
We are committed to using this tournament as a development for youth officials. Each team will need their own referee and whistle, we encourage you to use senior student referees from your School or a Highschool near you. Otherwise a parent/caregiver/coach will be great. Upskilling can happen prior to the tournament for those that need it.
