Our mahi

The Selwyn Sports Trust was established in 2013 by four founding Trustees, with a vision of enhancing the health and wellbeing of those in the Selwyn community. Since its inception the Trust has evolved to become a leader in the active recreation space, providing leadership and advocacy, as well as programme and event delivery - with a particularly focus in the primary school kura space.

The Trust is endorsed by our strategic partners, including the Selwyn District Council, Sport Canterbury and SportNZ, and we are proud to be recognised nationally as a leader for the work we do. 

We continue to evolve the Trust's capability and events to reach the growing Selwyn community demand, with the continued support of key sponsors, funding streams and charitable donations. 

The Tour of Selwyn charity ride

The Selwyn Sports Trust is excited to announce its latest event, ‘The Tour of Selwyn’. Taking place on November 8 2024, the Tour of Selwyn will take cyclists across the district, covering approximately 150kms and raising vital funds for its Activator Programme.
